This converted farmhouse has great character. One leaves the car inside the garage and climbs numerous steps to reach the fabulous position of the house. Once at the top one is swept away by the pinnacle view. The entrance of the house is under a pergola, which in mid season can be closed in with awnings and has an out door heating system. This indoor / outdoor room is the most versatile part of the house becoming, kitchen, dining or sitting room according to the necessity. The BBQ and the wood burning oven are all located here to eat outside in the mild climate of the Riviera. One enters on the second floor, accessing the open plan kitchen, dinning, living room area. On first floor there is the master bedroom, a bedroom with three single beds and the bathroom with bathtub. On the ground floor is a bedroom with bunk beds that has direct access to the garden. The second bathroom with shower is located on this ground floor. In the garden one finds a swing, flowers, fruit and herbs.

Santa Margherita Ligure is a well-known and fashionable holiday resort, which lies in the Gulf of Tigullio, along the two little bays of Corte and Santa Margherita, delimitated by the harbour and by Cape Pagana. To the west the rocky coast is interrupted by little inlets, among which there is Paraggi, with a strip of sandy beach.
Portofino is on one of the most attractive sections of the Italian Riviera southeast of Genoa. It has mountains, clear bays, thick evergreen forests, a National Park and divine villas. Several weeks could be spent exploring this charming area and the Italian Riviera in general. In the summertime expect lots of people waiting in line to find a spot to park their cars. Nevertheless we recommend spending a whole day in Portofino and enjoy its favourable natural position that already attracted very early human settlement. As we learned from Pliny, Portus Delphini was already known in Roman times. |
